The Sino-US tariff war, the trade war between China and the United States has begun. What should we do?

The United States has finally torn off its last fig leaf, revealing its hegemonic and bullying nature. On April 2, 2025, it increased tariffs on Chinese goods entering the U.S. market to 54%. Then, in desperation, the U.S. further raised tariffs to 104% and 245%. China has counterattacked tit-for-tat, raising tariffs on American goods entering the Chinese market to 125%. An exceptionally intense Sino-US tariff and trade war has officially commenced.

In this life-and-

death struggle, both the Chinese government and every Chinese enterprise face severe challenges. Every individual and household will be significantly affected. How should we respond? What should Weida Electromechanical Company do? As an individual entrepreneur with 76 years of experience, I propose the following perspectives and suggestions:

I. Strategically, we should despise them. Employ Chairman Mao Zedong's military strategies and the experience gained from three years of pandemic control. The U.S. is a paper tiger - superficially strong but internally weak, dominated by virtual economy and financialization, with severely hollowed-out real economy. The U.S. lacks moral justification for its actions, being domestically unpopular and internationally isolated. China's 1.4 billion people stand united, supported by over 140 countries worldwide. With unwavering confidence, ultimate victory will belong to the Chinese people!

II. Tactically, we must take them seriously. The U.S. remains a technological, military, and economic power, with inherent Western alliance support. Urgent measures include:

(1) Prepare for prolonged conflict (1-4 years). Mobilize nationwide participation and propaganda efforts. Cultivate patriotism where national interests supersede individual concerns. Implement targeted poverty alleviation through government-enterprise collaboration, with concrete fiscal support.

(2) Establish incentive mechanisms: Provide tailored assistance to struggling enterprises while rewarding high-performing companies based on employment retention and tax contributions.

(3) Weida Electromechanical's response: Maintain full employment through digital transformation and AI integration. Consolidate domestic markets while expanding new international markets to increase foreign exchange earnings and tax revenue.
